Whats the point in PVP?
ok so i know you get titles but is it like a dungeon where if you win HA you get a chest or is it just for fun?

For RA just another title.
GvG chance of a permanent gold trim on your cape if you win the monthly automated tournament plus tournament reward points. Also another title. For HA there is always the victory chest which can drop very good items. Also just another title to grind out. Codex Arena just another PvP title to grind. |

To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women.

Some people enjoy the challenge of working with others to defeat other players instead of NPCs. That's my thought on why people PvP.

To answer the question, as mentioned, there are a variety of rewards for PvP. They all give you Balth faction which can be turned into Z-Keys which can be sold or traded. They all give titles of some kind, some give emotes and GvG gives capes and reward points (more keys...). BUT, this all more or less misses the point. For anyone who likes competitive gaming (be it MTG, Starcraft, TF2, HON, DOTA, whatever) or sport the point is probably not these rewards. The point is the competition itself, the teamwork, coordination, and high challenge level. When I still played the game somewhat seriously, PvP (GvG in particular) was easily the most fun to be had in the game. If you enjoy competitive play and high challenge level, then you should try getting into it (though I don't know how easy that is at this point or what the state of the game is in terms of player base). If you don't like competition, then its probably not for you. |

I only play for the balth faction for Zkeys and luxon or Kurzick points. I rarely play any other PVP as my personal experience has not been very good.

There's something about competing with real people that PvE just can't bring. It's alot of fun tbh, and there are some in game rewards like others have pointed out.

~Long wait times (whether it be fa, jq, ha, etc)
~General additude of the PvP Community (not saying everyone, but it's almost a definate that you'll run into it every match) ~Ping interference (ping plays a big part, whether one can play PvP effectively) ~Stale maps (pretty sure everyone knows what I mean) ~Too gimmicky (most times you can tell what other ppl are running b4 engaging them) |

TBH i've never really gotten the point of PvP, at least not just PvP its alright now and then but i know people who just sit in RA all day... just seems like more grind to me. I much prefer PvE far more to do, far more variation and less "Not so agreeable people" to deal with most of the time.

Play to win and have the satisfaction of knowing that you're better than other players instead of repeatedly killing the same gimped-up AI.
